Abstract
During the planning stage of a well drilling it is necessary to know parameters such as formation pressure, fracture pressure, in order to drill a well in safe conditions, and reduce unproductive times.
To generate the formation and fracture pressure curves of the San Andrés and Atlanta formations, data from the density and sonic well registers were used to use them in the pressure prediction calculation methodology using the mathematical models established by Eaton.
The correct calculation through this model helps to verify at what depths the pressures are abnormal and thus foresee possible work accidents caused by the so-called "blowout" (blowout).
