GeoLatitud Journal uses double-blind review, which means that both the reviewer and the author's identities are hidden from the reviewers and vice versa, throughout the review process.
To facilitate this, authors must ensure that their manuscripts are prepared in a way that does not reveal their identity. To help with this preparation, make sure of the following when submitting your work:
Present the title of the proposed work containing the details of the Author (s) (Author Template) and the blinded manuscript without author's details in 2 separate files.
Information to help prepare the Author Template
This should include the title, the names of the authors and affiliations and a complete address for the corresponding author, including the telephone number, the e-mail address, a brief summary of your resumes, a photograph of the author (s), and the description of the contributions of each author to the scientific article.
Information to help prepare the blinded manuscript
In addition to the obvious need to remove names and affiliations under the title within the manuscript, there are other steps that must be taken to ensure that the manuscript is correctly prepared for a double-blind peer review. To help with this process, the key elements that must be observed are the following:
Use the third person to refer to the work that the Authors have done previously, e.g. replace any phrase "as we have shown before" with "... it has been shown before".
Make sure that the figures do not contain any identifier related to the affiliation.
Do not eliminate essential self-references or other references, but limit self-references only to documents that are relevant to those who review the submitted document.
For blinding in the reference list: '[Anonymous 2007] details omitted for double-blind review'.
Remove references to funding sources.
Do not include acknowledgments. They can be included in the Author Template.
Remove any identifying information, including the names of the authors, from the names of the files and make sure that the properties of the document are also anonymous.
