Comparative analysis of topographic survey techniques of collapse in Zámbiza – Quito
Main Article Content
Abstract
The study presents the results of a comparison between two methods for topographic surveying of susceptible areas or those in which a mass movement has already occurred. Considering that topography and morphometric analysis are of the main inputs in the characterization of mass removal phenomena, it is necessary to know if the emerging survey technology using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV), maintains the required precision; for which the aerial photogrammetric topographic products carried out by (UAV) of the Slope Failure in Zámbiza (Av. Las Palmeras), in the north center of Quito, are compared with the results of the survey carried out, on the same date and place, with a 3D Laser Scanner, which is the most accurate and detailed surveying method known today.
