Abstract

In today's distribution networks, an efficient integration of distributed power generation with renewable resources requires innovation in the grid and the rise in energy efficiency encourages the search for innovations and new methodologies that solve the technical and social needs in terms of distribution of electric power refers. The development of methodologies to plan, manage and operate the distribution network is necessary, with centralized control approaches to distributed control. As a consequence, information, control and communication infrastructures capable of coping with the complexity of the system are indispensable. A powerful and flexible paradigm to consider the various possibilities to operate the power grid is that of multi-agent systems. In this paper, the first part of the simulation results in DigSILENT and a review of the concepts, methodologies and algorithms proposed for the active integration of renewable energies in the electrical system using multiple agents are presented.
