Potencial de ahorro energético del estándar Passivhaus en climas tropicales cálidos húmedos

Abstract

This article evaluate the energy saving potential of the application of the Passivhaus standard in tropical warm climates in Latin America. By simulating a base case in 3 tropical warm and humid cities representative of different Latin American countries, assessing their conditions of energy saving, improving interior hygrothermal comfort and applicability. Compliance with a standard of low energy constructions would reduce the energy demand associated with refrigeration in homes and improve the construction quality of the homes providing improvements in interior comfort and significantly reducing greenhouse gases associated with energy consumption of buildings.
