Mineralogic Alteration of samples of the box rocks and mining work vetas of the Bella Rica District - Ponce Enríquez
Main Article Content
Abstract
The following investigation makes a description of the minerals found in the rocks that fit the gold veins of the sector, with the type of alteration that occurs in the vicinity of the mineralization, so that these are recorded as indications in the Bella Rica sector, all This using modern analysis techniques such as DRX as well as a complement for macroscopic petrographic analysis. Work was carried out on four mining works in the sector, being able to analyze 15 samples, it is concluded that the gold occurrence of this type, triggers an alteration in the surrounding embedded rocks of the propylitic type, where the biotite that belongs to these rocks is brought to clinochlor by ion exchange of the hydrothermal fluid, thereby generating a proportion of approximately 35% of this mineral in embedded rocks; it is also verified that in addition to the replacement of biotite, other typical minerals are also generated, such as quartz that is innate from mineralization, refractory sulfides such as arsenopyrite and pyrite; In addition to plagioclases that are formed by leaching basic rocks releasing Na+, Ca2+ and K+ ions
